Sandown Raceway in South Gloucestershire, the UK, is planning to open its first bar on the weekend of the 2018 Dunlop F1 British Touring Car Championship, according to its Facebook page.

The racecourse, which has a capacity of 50,000, will be the first in the UK to offer its patrons alcohol in a traditional pub format.

The new bar will be situated on the first floor of the venue, and will feature a full bar, bar area, kitchen and bar area.

The bar, which will be called The Brew, will serve beers, wines and cocktails with a focus on the F1 car’s sponsors.

Sandown has been in the spotlight in recent months following a police investigation into allegations of “gross misconduct” at the venue.

A previous investigation found that the owner, Mark Sowers, was responsible for the “gross” misconduct allegations.

Sowers has denied any wrongdoing and denied any involvement in the alleged misconduct.

The Sandown race course is a “great place to watch a Formula One race,” the post said.

The post did not specify when the bar would open.
